simple advent calendar

In the past I bought an advent calendar for my kids and though they enjoyed them very much, I thought that I would make my own this year. My little bags are filled with treats, notes to activities we are doing or small gifts.

Here is a list of the supplies used:

• baker's twine
• ink pad
• muslin bags (4x6")
• numbers (used Cricut cartridge "A Child's Year")
• twigs (mine were from an old pear tree)
• vase (for putting the twigs in)
