travel book / journal

I was at my local dollar store and found these composition booklets, 3 for $1.50.  I decided to cover them with some fun paper and they would be the perfect little booklet for traveling.  The photo has double sided tape along the edges already and I added 2 more strips along the top and the bottom.  Next I found some pattern papers to use. 

The finished little book, now to find a small pencil or pen to go along with the book. It's the perfect size for a travel kit.

travel pencil crayon case

I've been checking out Pinterest lately and that's just a dangerous site for me...way too many ideas and just not enough time. I saw a few ideas for a travel case with pencil crayons and a notebook and came up with this one.  It's not quite perfect, I would add more space for the pencil crayons as it was a bit snug and it tended to make the fabric curl once the pencils were in place. So, the next one should be better but what a great idea for keeping the kids entertained while out and what a neat little gift for their friends.
